We’re Hiring: Field Service Engineer (Automation)

We're looking for a Field Service Engineer who is customer-focused, adaptable, and a skilled problem solver in automated installations. In this role, you'll collaborate with multiple teams, communicate effectively, and travel across the UK and Europe to support our clients.

This position is crucial to ensuring our clients' systems operate smoothly, minimising downtime, optimising performance, and supporting complex automation processes. As a Field Service Engineer, you'll play a key part in helping businesses achieve greater operational efficiency through our cutting-edge technology.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Supporting automated platforms at customer sites and within Automata's head office and build facility.
  • Monitoring and managing the Service Desk, including responding to and triaging customer tickets.
  • Providing training to customers and external engineers.
  • Assisting the Deployment team with installation duties.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in a similar role.
  • Hands-on experience with control panels and electrical circuits.
  • Proficiency in Python programming.
  • Strong customer-facing and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail in all aspects of your work.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience with service desk tools (e.g., Jira).
  • Background in a laboratory environment.
