Capi was founded by Mitch Riley, Scott Liddle, and Tom Watson. Mitch and Scott were COO/CFO/GC and CRO/CMO at Taptap Send, a remittance unicorn, and have spent two decades between them working in emerging markets, and Tom is a career entrepreneur and founder who lead our Tech development.
Working with in emerging markets is opening the door for us to have an economical impact on African markets by allowing businesses to pay suppliers and partners through our platform - we are currently live across Senegal, Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Kenya, and Mali, with many more coming soon.
Our team is made up of approx 60 people across 12 countries; we are a group of a highly-ambitious, get-it-done people, who like to work hard on something that has a tangible impact in the world. And we’re looking for more people to join our team!
Role Overview
We are looking for a high-performing Senior Sales Manager to help us meet our customer acquisition and revenue growth targets by keeping our company competitive and innovative.
As Senior Sales Manager, you will be responsible for growing, acquiring customers, crafting sales plan and justifying those plans to the upper management. You will join our 50-person, global team at a fast-growing seed-stage fintech. We’re on a mission to transform how $670 billion in cross-border business payments are made each year in Africa. Reporting to the General Manager, this role will be part of our growth hub in West Africa — building a deep understanding of the market and potential customers, testing new acquisition channels, and scaling those that work to meet ambitious growth targets.
Key Responsibilities
Acquire new corporate customers
Implement strategies for retaining customers while increasing their volume with Capi
Drive revenue growth
Map out the competitive landscape locally (Track competitor pricing) and where Capi Money’s value proposition lies
Refine our sales pitch and build compelling sales materials
Test different acquisition channels and build new processes to scale the ones that work
Be the voice of the customer - and work with our product and ops team to make sure we are meeting the needs and expectations of our customers, in a localised way
Requirements:
5+ years of experience as a Sales leadership position in a high-performing environment, ideally in the fintech or startup space
Results-driven mindset
Highly resourceful and organized
Ability to work independently
Location: Bamako, Mali

Fluent in French
Bonus points if :
“No task too small” mindset
Previous experience at early-stage VC-backed start-up, or at top-tier consultancy, etc.
Previous experience working in or with emerging markets
Previous experience building and working with online CRM tools
