Role Overview
We’re looking for a Supplier Acquisition Lead to help us expand and strengthen Capi’s supplier network across Europe, North Africa, Turkey and the Gulf.
You’ll be at the forefront of building partnerships with companies who export to Africa — helping them simplify and accelerate payments from their African buyers, and turning them into powerful referral partners.
This is a strategic and hands-on commercial role. You’ll identify and onboard new suppliers, maintain and deepen existing relationships, and test different acquisition channels to scale what works. Reporting directly to the Head of Growth, you’ll play a key role in building the supplier side of Capi’s ecosystem — one that fuels our growth and unlocks faster trade between Africa and the world.
Key Responsibilities
Acquire new suppliers: Identify and approach EUR/MENA/Gulf suppliers exporting to Africa — across industries such as FMCG, construction, automotive, and industrial goods.
Build and maintain relationships: Develop long-term partnerships with suppliers, showing them the value of Capi’s payment solutions and how we can help their African customers pay more easily and quickly.
Referral-driven growth: Encourage and enable suppliers to refer their African clients to Capi, positioning us as their trusted payment partner.
Understand supplier needs: Gather insights on how suppliers currently receive payments from Africa, what challenges they face, and what Capi can build to make their experience smoother.
Test and scale channels: Experiment with supplier acquisition tactics — from trade fairs and chambers of commerce to digital outreach — and identify scalable growth levers.
Surface insights and advocate for supplier-focused improvements — including potential features such as dedicated supplier accounts or collection flows — grounded in a deep understanding of supplier needs.
Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with product, growth, and operations teams to improve supplier onboarding, payment flows, and overall experience.
Represent Capi externally: Be Capi’s voice in supplier communities, trade associations, and export networks across Europe and emerging markets.
