Capi helps businesses in Africa pay their international suppliers quickly and efficiently. Capi started with Y-Combinator Summer 2023 program, coming out of it successfully and since then we’ve raised over $18m across Seed and Series A (Q4 2024) and are on a fast growth trajectory globally with almost 80ppl; we’ve recently hit a milestone as we crossed $1BN in annualized volume and $10m in annualized revenue for the first time!
Working with SMEs in Africa is opening the door for us to have an economical impact on African markets by allowing businesses to pay suppliers and partners through our platform - we are currently live across Senegal, Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Kenya, and Mali, with many more coming soon.
Our team is made up of approx 75 people across 7 countries; we are a group of a highly-ambitious, get-it-done people, who like to work hard on something that has a tangible impact in the world. And we’re looking for more people to join our team!
Role overview
As PartnerOps Associate, you will be responsible for handling our partnerships with local banks, financial institutions and collection partners and making sure payments are ready and approved in time.
Key Responsibilities

Partnership management (70%)
Oversee liquidity on our Africa-based bank accounts and collection channels, working with our local partners to optimize working capital efficiency.
Handle our local collection and banking partnerships, including designing and implementing the processes to ensure transactions are processed smoothly.
Work on one-off projects, such as launching a new collection route in one of our markets, implementing a new partnership.

Payment preparation and approval (30%)
Provide our European banks with the information they need in advance to make sure payments go out in time.
Be a guardian of the payment approval process and safeguard mechanisms we have in place.
Must-haves
Fluency in English
Fluency in French
Independence
Willingness to travel to our markets in Western and Central Africa up to 2 weeks per month (1 week per month if based in Abidjan)
2-5 years of work experience
Strong Excel skills
Highly organized
Previous experience working in or with emerging markets
“No task too small” mindset
Nice-to-haves
Previous experience at a VC-backed start-up, top-tier consultancy, or bank

This is a hybrid position, with 3 days a week in the office, and two days WFH
