Harness Tax is the tax division within Harness Wealth, providing innovative tax expertise to help build a holistic, modern tax offering.

The opportunity

Reporting into the CEO, you will be responsible for developing and managing key relationships for the Harness business. These activities include growing the Harness Tax business through a combination of recruiting exceptional tax advisers and strategic partnerships with leading global tax firms, enhancing our network of financial advisers and expanding Harness for Employers, which enables companies to offer Harness to their employees as a financial wellness benefit. You will also work directly with the CEO on large corporate partnership opportunities.

Salary range: $175,000 - $225,000 plus an incentive bonus, and plus equity in the form of equity stock options. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable laws.

What you’ll be doing

  • Growing the Harness Tax business by identifying, signing, and integrating new tax firms into the business.
  • Developing new relationships with companies seeking a financial program focused on equity and strengthening the existing employer client relationships.
  • Identifying enhancements to the Harness for Employer value proposition and offering.
  • Responsible for owning and developing the relationships with all of the external financial, tax and trust & estate advisors on the marketplace to ensure all advisors have an excellent experience with Harness.
  • Identifying new opportunities to expand and grow marketplace advisor relationships.
  • Building a business development team

Your experience

  • 5+ years of experience in managing and growing high value relationships, a plus if they are in the financial services or tech space.
  • Experience with end-to-end relationships management
  • Strong communicator who can anticipate and proactively manage partner needs and expectations.
  • A passion for working with partners and developing an exceptional experience for them.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and be successful in a greenfield environment.
  • Passionate about innovating in the personal finance space to create value for individuals.
Compensation is comprised of a base salary plus equity in the form of equity stock options. Actual compensation within the range listed will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable laws.

$175,000$225,000 USD

  • Harness Marketplace
    Clients complete a profile based on their personal financial information, goals, and milestones. Based on this information, our algorithm recommends a set of financial, tax and/or trust & estate services and firms that are best suited for them. Each firm on the marketplace is personally screened and interviewed by Harness Wealth.
  • Harness Tools
    Clients manage their personal finances and strategically plan ahead for milestones using our tools. We provide users a balance sheet to monitor full net worth, including employee equity, crypto assets, and real estate, as well as tax planning tools to help navigate decisions around liquidity events.
  • Harness Tax
    Our in-house tax team offers flexible tax planning services that are tailored to our clients, such as planning for equity liquidity events, managing crypto assets, moving between different countries or states, and evaluating equity compensation packages.
