Role Summary:
As our very first Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will be at the forefront of our growth journey. You will be responsible for executing the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing new candidates (business and technical side) to onboarding new hires. We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of recruitment best practices, exceptional communication skills, a passion for connecting with potential candidates and a hands-on mentality.
Key Responsibilities:
Talent sourcing and attraction:
Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop job descriptions
Utilise various channels (job boards, social media, professional networks, etc.) to source and attract qualified candidates
Develop and maintain a network of potential candidates through proactive outreach
Screening and evaluation:
Review resumes and applications to identify candidates that meet the job requirements
Conduct initial phone screenings and interviews to assess candidate fit
Administer assessments, tests, and other evaluation tools as needed
Interview coordination & offer negotiation:
Coordinate and schedule interviews, ensuring a positive candidate experience
Work with hiring managers to extend offers and negotiate terms
Onboarding of new team members:
Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition
Compliance and Documentation:
Ensure all recruitment processes and documentation are in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
3+ years of experience in talent acquisition of business AND technical roles
Proven track record of successfully filling various roles across different departments
Strong knowledge of recruitment best practices and labor laws
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in AI/ML/deeptech related field
Experience in early-stage startup
