Role Summary
As a member of our legal team (based in Paris and SF), you will provide critical support to our team in various legal matters, including corporate, compliance and contracts, and in helping us set up the appropriate tools to that end. The ideal candidate is at ease with legal tech tools, highly organized, detail-oriented, and possesses strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft and review legal documents, such as contracts (e.g. NDA), assist in contract management (including database).
- Maintain corporate documentation (including capitalization table, records and minutes) in French law, prepare employee incentives issuance.
- Prepare correspondence and other communications on behalf of in-house attorneys.
- Assist in the preparation, maintenance and (as applicable) filing of compliance documents, including GDPR records.
- Assist in the preparation of presentations, reports, and other materials, including internal training of other teams.
- Maintain a working knowledge of legal software and technology.
- Assist with being up to date with respect to changes in laws, regulations, and legal procedures relevant to the company.
Qualifications and skills:
- Background: Strong capacity of research in areas of French law; capacity of research in US law is a plus. Relevant degree in law or paralegal studies (bachelor preferred) and / or certification (e.g. NALA or NPFA).
- Experience: minimum 5 years. An experience in a law firm is a must, an in house experience in a fast growing environment is a plus.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication; Strong organizational abilities, proficiency in legal tools (e.g.. capitalization table management, contract management software, research tools).
- International mindset: An international experience is a plus, proficiency in French and English is a must.
- Adaptability: Given the rapidly evolving nature of AI technologies and the legal landscape surrounding them, candidates should be adaptable and willing to continuously learn and update their skills and knowledge. Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Proactive, flexible, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
