About Us:

Mondoo is creating a new way that helps companies keep their users and data safe from hackers around the world. We believe that core engineers who have both technical excellence and empathy to the developer experience will help our customers take action against attackers.

The Role:

As the Director of Marketing, you will be a pivotal member of our leadership team, responsible for shaping and executing our global marketing vision. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in the security market, who can craft compelling narratives, build high-performing teams, and orchestrate seamless marketing operations. You will report directly to the CSO and collaborate cross-functionally with sales, product, and engineering teams to accelerate growth and enhance brand positioning.

What You'll Achieve:

Own Our Story

You’ll shape, refine and evolve our brand story so it clicks with security professionals. Whether it’s crafting messaging frameworks or highlighting real customer wins, you’ll make sure our voice is strong, consistent, and compelling across every touchpoint.

Bring Order to What's in the Works

We’ve got a bunch of great stuff going on such as homegrown programs, campaigns, content, but it needs direction. You’ll help us get organized and build a repeatable, scalable marketing engine. Think smarter lead gen, campaign ops that actually hum, and performance data that tells a clear story. This is where your ability to diagnose, plan, and execute really shines.

Create Content That Connects

From blogs and webinars to whitepapers and social posts, you’ll lead the strategy behind the content that puts us on the map. You’ll guide the team in building a thoughtful calendar that drives real engagement, showcases our expertise, and positions us as a go-to in cybersecurity.

Be a People Leader (and Builder)

You’ll build and lead a small but mighty marketing team to level up and align under a shared vision. You’ll coach, hire, and build a culture of collaboration, accountability, and getting things done.

Keep a Finger on the Pulse

You’ll stay plugged into what’s happening in the security world with trends, competitors, opportunities and turn that into smart go-to-market strategies. When we launch something new, you’ll have the plan ready to roll.

Set the Metrics That Matter

You’ll define what success looks like, set KPIs, and build dashboards that give us a clear view into what’s working and what’s not. You’ll know that brand is tough to measure, but you’ll still track the right signals and make smart, data-backed calls. Your marketing initiatives are tied to ROI and company revenue.

Be the Glue Across Teams

This role is all about influence. You’ll work closely with Sales, Product, and the exec team to get everyone rowing in the same direction. You’ll know when to push, when to nudge, and how to bring people along.

Run a Smart, Lean Budget

You’ll own the marketing budget, making sure every dollar is working hard. You’ll invest where it counts and be able to justify spend with clear outcomes.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 10+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience specifically in the security market (cybersecurity preferred). Proven success in B2B marketing for security products or services.

  • Deep understanding of security industry dynamics, including threat landscapes, compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, NIST), and buyer personas (e.g., CISOs, IT leaders).

  • Experience building and scaling partner marketing programs from the ground up; you are able to identify strategic partners, co-create campaigns, and drive joint pipeline.

  • Expertise in modern marketing tools and technologies (e.g., HubSpot, Google Analytics, SEO/SEM platforms).

  • Strong storytelling abilities with experience in crafting narratives that drive brand loyalty and market differentiation.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and scale marketing operations, including automation and ABM (Account-Based Marketing) strategies.

  • Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of building diverse, high-performing teams.

  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and marketing metrics.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, comfortable engaging with C-suite executives and external stakeholders.
