Transport Procurement Manager

About the role:
Be a driving force behind building a logistics operation that our customers love and internal tools that enable us to deliver best customer service.
Ensure lowest average transport cost per tonne, whilst achieving the highest customer satisfaction rate with Safi's transportation, compared to our competitors
Strategise and support on transport requirements in line with business needs from Account Managers and Business Development
Build, maintain, manage relationships with new and existing partners (ocean carriers, road carriers and freight forwarders) and support Safi with escalations where required
In conjunction with Operations, use industry and logistics experience to optimise shipping, and deliver the best value for Safi
Build and write SOPs / working documents to be shared and agreed with partners.
Define and track KPIs to understand, manage and improve business and partner performance
Own WBR/MBR/QBRs with partners
Deep knowledge of how carriers work and operate
Strong relationship management skills, vendor or supplier
Strong negotiation skills
Experience building pricing models and sheets to track price changes and identify opportunities for cost savings
