About the Role

As Safi's Operations Manager in West Africa, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and continually improving Safi's offering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cross-Functional Team Integration: Collaborate extensively with central teams such as Finance, Logistics, Customer Service, Onboarding, and Product to ensure that operations are seamlessly integrated and optimized for efficiency across all facets of the customer experience in African markets.

  • Local Market Adaptation: Tailor Safi's business strategies to meet the specific needs of core African markets. This involves localizing product offerings and operational practices to enhance relevance and effectiveness in meeting regional demands.

  • Operational Strategy and Execution: Develop and implement comprehensive operational strategies that ensure scalability and sustainability. This includes managing resource allocation, streamlining workflows, and ensuring all operational activities align with broader business goals.

  • Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Lead initiatives to continuously improve operational processes and systems. Utilize feedback from local markets to innovate and adapt services, features, and products to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

  • Performance Management and Growth: Monitor and evaluate the performance of the entire operations team across different functions, setting clear objectives and key results. Drive growth by ensuring all team members are achieving set benchmarks and contributing to the expansion and success of Safi in Africa.


  • Proven experience in a high performance Ops Manager role exceeding targets consistently.

  • Experience in early stage/high growth stage company.

  • Analytical mindset focus on making data driven decisions.

  • Strong data analysis skills (Excel + SQL).

  • A high level of adaptability, agility and prioritisation to manage multiple projects at one time.

  • Experience in building processes from the ground up and completing projects.
