The role

This is a newly created role where the responsibilities for Payroll across the Wayve group will be centralised to an experienced payroll professional. The group is expanding geographically, working with new payroll providers, and significantly growing its number of employees. All these changes mean that the payroll area is at the right time in its development to be shaped by the person in this role.

Key responsibilities:

  • Compilation of the payrolls for all countries in which Wayve operates
  • Responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all variable pay components (Master Data is the responsibility of the People Team)
  • Implementing and maintaining processes and controls to ensure the payroll is accurate
  • Managing the relationship with the payroll providers
  • Ensure we meet the payroll reporting requirements in each of our payroll jurisdictions
  • Reconciliations of pensions and health care contributions monthly between our payroll records and the service providers
  • Analytical review of payroll spend on a monthly basis for inclusion in management reporting

About you

In order to set you up for success as a Senior Payroll Specialist at Wayve, we’re looking for the following skills and experience.

Essential

  • 5+ years of payroll experience
  • Previous multi-country payroll experience
  • Attention to detail
  • Passion for processes and controls
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, changeable environment

Desirable

  • Experience with starting a payroll in a new geography from scratch
  • Experience with analytical review of the Payroll outputs
  • Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP) qualification
