The Role
As the Head of Parking Product, you will own the end-to-end development of our Parking product line, managing multiple configurations and driving the product roadmap. You will work closely with internal teams, including software and hardware leads, as well as external stakeholders, such as OEMs and business development, to deliver solutions that meet market demands and customer specifications. You will lead a team of product experts and collaborate across functions to ensure timely, accurate, and tested product releases.
Key Responsibilities
Product Roadmap and Strategy
- Define and maintain the Wayve product roadmap for parking features across L2+, L3, and L4 systems.
- Anticipate market trends and emerging functions through regular engagement with stakeholders, including leadership, OEMs, and business development teams.
- Develop strategies for product configurations to meet diverse customer needs.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the primary liaison with internal (software, hardware, operations, leadership) and external stakeholders (OEMs, regulatory bodies).
- Handle OEM requests and RFQs by negotiating requirements, aligning deliverables, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Product Development & Releases
- Engineer the product from the ground up, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory, safety, and security standards.
- Collaborate closely with software and hardware teams to provide product guidance and support to align development with roadmap objectives.
- Oversee the release cadence to ensure timely and mature product delivery.
- Ensure all releases are thoroughly tested and meet customer specifications and internal quality standards.
Team Leadership
- Lead and manage a team of product professionals, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.
- Mentor team members to enhance their expertise and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
About You
Essential
- Proven experience in product management, preferably within the autonomous driving or automotive technology industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing complex product lifecycles from concept to production.
- Strong experience working with OEMs and responding to RFQs.
- Familiarity with generative AI applications in autonomous driving.
- Understanding of L2+, L3, and L4 driving systems and associated configurations (e.g., sensor suite variations).
- Knowledge of regulatory, safety, and security standards in the automotive industry (ISO 26262, UNECE WP.29, etc.).
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills for stakeholder engagement.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate market trends and customer needs.
- Proficiency in tools and methodologies related to product development, roadmapping, and release management.
